Cleland Hancox (CHL), a long-established accounting firm in Waikato, needing a refreshed brand that felt modern, professional, and approachable, whilst also capturing their forward-thinking approach.

We approached this project with a strategic blend of design, colour psychology, and business insight, taking the time to really understand what makes CHL unique, and follow this through to position them to stand out. Our rebrand focused on four key brand attributes: refined, high standard, honest, and approachable.

The transformation positioned Cleland Hancox as a modern, people-focused firm, strengthening their presence and appeal. This project reflects what we do best at Brand Refinery – helping businesses refine their brand to stand out, connect with their ideal clients, and leave a lasting impact.
We crafted a clean, timeless logo with a custom ‘H’ inspired by the Waikato River, symbolising connection and flow. An elevated colour palette of blues and greens reinforced trust, growth, and professionalism.
STATIONERY + SIGNAGE
CHL had recently moved into new offices, we got to do some really cool decals for the office glass sliding doors, that work seamlessly together whether the doors are open or closed. Along with a feature logo on the opposite wall to reflect their modern but stylish rebrand.

Our priorities were to provide a seamless user experience, reducing content and making it easy for clients to find information, build trust, and take action. The website design balances clarity with warmth, reflecting Cleland Hancox’s approachable yet expert nature.
